SHARK FISHING and Camping at PINS for the First Time! // Padre Island National Seashore Overlanding

Summer Camping in Texas definitely requires nearly body of water and this 60 mile stretch of coastline along the Texas gulf coast is hard to beat! Every part of this experience was an adventure. From navigating the beach in 4x4, to setting up camp, to finally catching my first shark ( 5 foot Blacktip!), this overlanding trip was one for the books. If you enjoy fishing, overlanding, cookingon the...

Palo Duro Canyon has been on my radar for several years now and I'm stoked to finally see what this State park has to offer. Even better, my wife joined me to experience camping in the Napier truckbed tent for the first time. In this video, we camp, hike, mountain bike and cook some delicious camp meals while exploring the second largest canyon in the country. This canyon has become my favorite...

We finally made the journey to the Texas Panhandle to camp, mountain bike and hike at Palo Duro Canyon State Park. We decided to ride some of the blue and green trails today as my wife has been off of the bike for a few months. We enjoyed the scenic beauty, amazing views and gorgeous red dirt while riding Rojo Grand Trail and the most popular trail in the park, Lighthouse trail. This is some of...
Camping with My Dog ,Down by the River, and Cooking his Favorite Meal // Relaxing Truck Camping ASMR
Просмотров 9532 месяца назад
As the weather in South Texas is getting nicer, I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to take my dog, Bronson, out for a camping trip. To celebrate his eighth birthday, I found a private campsite on hipcamp where Bronson can run around off leash and explore. I also cooked his favorite meal which happens to be my favorite meal as well. In this video, we spend some quality time in natur...
Napier Truck Tent FULL USER review/ Is this the Best Budget Tent option for Camping and Overlanding?
Просмотров 6 тыс.2 месяца назад
Ive been camping in the Napier Backroadz Truck tent for the past two and a half years now and I can't say that I've gone easy on it. I spend a lot of my time camping during the low seasoning and during adverse weather conditions. Often times other campers are less willing to camp during a rainstorm, a high wind advisory or in sub-freezing temperatures. this gives me more options for campsites a...

Recently, I've noticed a ton of new mountain bikers taking to the local trails. Whether you're visiting from out of town or just getting into mountain biking, the trail options in San Antonio are abundant. Navigating the trail systems in this city can even feel a bit overwhelming at first. In today's adventure, I planned a route that will hopefully make your first ride in San Antonio go smoothe...

Nice!
Thanks bro!
Perfect setup easy to travel with and still pretty compact for a complete kit
Definitely. It’s been working pretty well for me. Thanks for watching 🙌
I have the same tent for my outings with my girls, only been out in it twice but so far so good. GREAT video btw and you have earned another sub!!!
Thx for the review...do you think a 46cm tripod would fit in there?
Ha Ha, I stayed 3 nights starting Labor Day in your 2nd camping spot. Great views. We had coyotes and hogs come through 2 nights! Saw a big Tom turkey at the Rock Garden TH also! Loved the park and just 30 mins to town. All levels of biking and hiking. Upper and Lower Comanche were a blast but also are beast to bike. Hiked up Rock Garden then over to Fortress Point amazing and good bird and lizard watching 🙂also. I got lucky with no rain in canyon during my stay. The morning heading out it was storming like mad at the gate and toward Amarillo. Rain didn't stop till Oklahoma City! Great work on sharing your adventures.
Hey thanks for watching. Sounds like you had a great time out there. We did rock garden as well. The views were amazing. Looking forward to to checking out the Comanche trails on the next one. Stay stoked! 🤟
Dang! Nice catch
Thanks Dave! I’m hopin to catch an even bigger one next time!
@@ChenzosWorld BIGGER ONE! Your crazy 😂🤙
Its a great tent system. Only bad thing is that the poles are garbage. They splinter and crack rendering them useless. Difficult to get new ones. Carry a big roll of Gorilla tape.
You do voice overs?
What is the tarp that you have over your tailgate? I see it there before you set up the tent and when you are driving down the road.
It’s a tailgate pad. I use it to transport my mountain bike. It’s called the Yakima Gatekeeper and I made video review on it if you want a closer look. 👍
Nice set up for a budget Mobile way to go I like it. 👍🏽
Thanks! 🙌
That's how you do it, brother!
Thanks bro! Hoping to catch a great white next! 🤣🤙
Another thorough review!
Thanks bro! Hodor! ✊
Nice idea. Thanks!
You’re welcome! 🙌
I use a Napier Sportz tent. I noticed the same scratching issue in the wind. My solution was a section of pool noodle over the pole sections that contact my truck.
Oh that’s a good idea. I might try that next weekend. I’ll be camping on the beach so that might be a good solution. Thanks for the info 🤙
sweet!
Thanks Dave! 🤙
@@ChenzosWorld absolutely! That was a smart idea!
Great video! Never would’ve thought to check out a Walmart box but that is pretty tight! Great organization, exactly how I like it at a campsite! Keep it up
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful. Will do. Cheers
Great idea
Thanks James 🤟
Carbon monoxide detector should be low to the ground, at least below your airway as it fills spaces from the bottom up. Cheers.
Thanks! Cheers
Bro I'm hungry now
I'm debating trading my 2020 1500 ram in for a 3500 Ram gas and my 2020 Jayco travel trailer my friend wants and if i get the Ram 3500 i will get a Bigfoot Truck camper . I live full time RV off grid tax free the last 4 years and I travel a lottttt .
That sounds like an awesome rig! The off grid life sounds like the way to go. Thanks for watching
What's overlanding?
Essentially it’s off-roading and dispersed camping combined. Atleast that’s how I understand it. Overlanders usually take the path less travelled to access remote campsites.
Damm bro that looked like a bad ass time…. Can’t wait to make it out there and camp in a few weeks..
It was awesome. I can’t wait to get back out there too! 🤟
Awesome video! camping and fishing with friends is awesome, and that food Chenzo, looked so delicious.
Thanks Dave.it was a great trip. Can’t wait to get back out there! 🤙
Awesome video bro. And 4k subs!! Woohoo!🤟
Thanks bro! 🤟
Youre in my area now!
I’ll be here all summer. Rippin lips! 🦈
@@ChenzosWorld Beach camping the entire time?
@@BigTruckBigRV I’m still based in San Antonio but taking trips out there every couple of weeks to camp and fish
Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for the next one bc I’m hooked and the next PINS trip is already scheduled! 🦈🏴☠️
Thanks for including the MONK3Y LOOP sign ( I put that on the trail)
That's a sharp-looking Diamondback
Thanks bro 🤙
Hey Chenzo. Do you guys have group rides? I’m moving back to Kerrville in the next few months and I’m hoping to do more riding in SA on my days off. Only thing that I ever rode there was OP Schnabel and Flat Rock of course. I left in 2013 and it looks like there are a lot of new trails. That’s really awesome to see. 👊🏼🙏🏼
There’s definitely some group rides here. They’re usually posted in the local MTB Facebook group “mountain bikers of San Antonio” check out the FB page for red bird ranch as well. They frequently host group rides there
@@ChenzosWorld Thank you pal.
Ah man, I love the Monkey Loop Trail, I go back and forth on it at least ten times and it never gets old.
It’s a classic 🤟
Get rid of those “nose rings” 🫣
It’s only one Karen. And nope! 🤣
is it waterproof or water resistant?
Waterproof in my experience. As long as I’ve got the rainfly up I’ve never gotten water on the inside
Looks awesome. Are campsite reservation needed or first come first serve?
Thanks. It was first come first serve
Is the small metal table from Target?
I picked this one up at walmart

Awesome trail!
that granite can be difficult to navigate when its laying loosely on solid ground .
I agree. Definitely makes the trail more interesting 🤟
From your location, go up Camp Bullis Rd, make a right turn on Babcock. Look to your left (before you hit an apartment complex). There is a gnarly trail. Chunk as hell. Back in the 90s when that area was still country we would take those trails, following the power lines, to San Antonio Ranch on the other side of Helotes, and all the way to Government Canyon before it was even open to the public.Thats what Bush Hill reminds of. Still in it's raw state and not yet been manicured. Those were the best trail rides. Still are. Hell I remember when Eisenhower Park was off limits to bikers. But did that stop me??? 😂
Thanks! I’ll definitely have to some more exploring out there and check that spot out!

Hey man in Conroe for a month checked out this trail the other day and loved it. Looking for more trails in the area could you suggest any to me?
